This variable is the number of months during the year when the monthly TAF managed care plan type code in any of the 16 possible monthly plan type fields = 19 (long-term services and supports PIHP). There are 192 possible plan type variables in a calendar year: 12 months with 16 managed care plan type variables per month = 192 variables; MC_PLAN_TYPE_CD_01_01–MC_PLAN_TYPE_CD_16_12.
