RACE_ETHNCTY_EXP_CD
A constructed variable indicating the beneficiary’s race and ethnicity; most recent in the calendar and the two prior years.
Comments
If the ethnicity code variable (ETHNCTY_CD) on the TAF indicates beneficiary is Hispanic, value will be set to 20 regardless of what is reported in the RACE source data element. Otherwise, if there is at least one valid race code, value will be set to reflect the reported race code(s). If both source variables are missing or unknown, then this field will be set to NULL.
