This field groups (or recodes) the NDI ICD-10 code cause of death into 130 categories. The list reflects 130 selected causes of infant death.

Available for 2007-2016. Researchers wishing to obtain this NDI segment of the MBSF must obtain an additional approval beyond the CMS DUA.
