Dr. Peter Huckfeldt received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis and his Bachelor of Arts from Rice University. From 2009-2014 he was an associate and full economist at the RAND Corporation. His research focuses on health care organization, payment, and delivery; the economics of chronic disease management; and health insurance benefit design. He joined the faculty of the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, Division of Health Policy and Management in 2014. In June 2020, he was named the Vernon E. Weckwerth Professor in Healthcare Administration Leadership in the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
