Beth Virnig, PhD, MPH

Dr. Beth Virnig is the Dean and Robert G Frank Endowed Professor at the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions. Previously, she was at the University of Minnesota from 1997-2022. Her leadership roles included Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research in the School of Public Health and Principal Investigator and Director of ResDAC. She has over 25 years of experience working with Medicare data and has taught graduate level courses on the use of administrative data. Beth specializes in several research areas including cancer care and outcomes, end-of-life care, quality of care, Medicare managed care and access to care issues. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Carleton College, Beth went on to earn both her MPH and PhD in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota.
