Medicaid Data Quality Atlas Tool for Researchers Now Available

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid has released a new public online tool called the “Data Quality (DQ) Atlas” allowing individuals to review the quality and usability of Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) Research Identifiable Files (RIF) and determine if the data can meet research needs.

Updated Medicaid and CHIP Data Available Later this Year

Medicare Risk Score RIF Data

CMS is pleased to announce the availability of Medicare Risk Score Research Identifiable Files (RIFs) for Payment Year 2014 (PY14). Risk scores are used to adjust payments to Medicare Advantage plans to account for differences in relative costs among plan enrollees.

New Home Health (HH) OASIS LDS File

This file will be released twice a year, to support the proposed and final rule publications for the HH Prospective Payment System. The file includes partitioning 60-day episodes into 30-day periods, as required by section 51001(a) of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018.
