This field is derived by accumulating the Claim inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) Uncompensated Care Payment Amount (previously referred to as the Flex Payment 1 Amount field; CLM_ IPPS_FLEX_PMT_1_AMT) that is present on any of the claim records included in the stay.
