This field is derived by accumulating the Claim inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) value-based purchasing adjustment amount (previously referred to as Flex Payment 3 Amount field; CLM_IPPS_FLEX_PMT_3_AMT) that is present on any of the claim records included in the stay.

This field is new in 2013.
