This field comes from the Claim Care Improvement Model (CLM- CARE-IMPRVMT-MODEL-4-CD) code that is present on the first claim record included in the stay. If there is no Claim Care Improve Model code on the 1st claim then take the first found code on a the other claims that make up the stay.
This field is new in 2013.
This value is also reflected in the demonstration trailer of the claim.
