This field represents the amount (rounded to whole dollars) the claim was reduced by. This field only applies to providers participating in the CMMI model 1 bundled payment program and the adjustment is calculated off the base operating DRG amount field.
This field is derived by accumulating the Claim inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) bundled payment adjustment amount (previously referred to as the Flex Payment 2 Amount field; CLM_ IPPS_FLEX_PMT_2_AMT) that is present on any of the claim records included in the stay.
